Opportunities for music abound at Devon United!

Structured groups include a choir and handbells. There are also a few musicians who gather occasionally to play wind instruments. Soloists, duets and other performers are always welcome. Here’s how to get involved:

Occasional solo/group – if you sing or play and would like to perform a solo or with another musician or two, contact Rayona Hamilton ([email protected])  or Sharon Vogrinetz ([email protected]). We are always pleased to have music added to our service and we can ensure your experience is rewarding.

Adult Choir – the adult choir rehearses Sundays before church from 9 am to 9:45 am and performs once a month (more during Advent). If you are interested, please contact Sharon Vogrinetz ([email protected]).

Handbell Choir – we have three octaves of handbells and rehearse after church from 11:30 am -12:30 pm Sundays. No musical training is required, however members should be committed to attending rehearsal regularly (missing two or four key notes makes it challenging!). Intake for new members is at the beginning of the Christmas season (September/October) and after Christmas (January/February). Please contact Sharon Vogrinetz ([email protected]) if you are interested in ringing!

Wind Band – do you play a wind instrument? If so, we’d like to hear from you – we have a few musicians (currently flute, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, horn, euphonium) and are always interested in more – please let Rayona Hamilton ([email protected]) know what you play. Typically we meet for one or two rehearsals before playing at Christmas or Easter.

"Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth...Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad ...let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.  Let all creation rejoice..."  - Psalm 96.
